The San Nicolás police station dates back to the late 19th century when the inhabitants worked in the fiber factory. Currently, some of the machines that are over 100 years old are still in production. The hacienda encompasses the entire San Nicolás police station where there were paths to transport the trucks with henequen to be processed, in that same police station they lived in small masonry cabins, these cabins were remodeled for luxury accommodation purposes.

Suma es un municipio cercano, a sólo 15 km de Motul y a 58 km de la ciudad de Mérida, capital del estado de Yucatán, su acceso es por la carretera federal a Tizimin que atraviesa el municipio de Motul, Cansahcab, Temax.
La hacienda se encuentra dentro de la comisaría "San Nicolás" del municipio de Suma, tiene una superficie de 40 hectáreas de las cuales 11 están ocupadas por todas las edificaciones de la comisaria las 30 restantes son terrenos rústicos. La comisaria San Nicolás data de finales del siglo XIX en el que los pobladores trabajaban en la desfibradora. Actualmente algunas de las máquinas que tienen más de 100 años siguen en producción. La hacienda abraca toda la comisaria de San Nicolás en ella existieron vías para trasladar los trucs con el henequén para ser procesado, en esa misma comisaria vivían en pequeñas cabañas de mampostería, estas cabañas fueron remodeladas para fines de hospedaje de lujo.
