The Hacienda San Miguel Chac is one of the few haciendas in Yucatán that remain active despite the rise and fall of green gold (henequen). It is the only one in the western part of the state that still works in the scraping of the material, no longer on a monumental scale as it did 100 years ago, but for other less demanding uses.

La Hacienda San Miguel Chac es una de las pocas haciendas en Yucatán que se mantienen activas a pesar del auge y caída del oro verde(henequén), es la única del poniente del estado que todavía trabaja en la raspa del material, ya no a una escala monumental como hace 100 años pero si para otros usos menos demandantes.
Todavía le sobreviven el cuarto de máquinas, algunas bodegas y la casa principal; todo ésto es cuidado celosamente por los habitantes provenientes de Hunucmá que trabajan en la elaboración del producto.
