We have created a unique environment at Florecer Casitas that mirrors the environment of Guanajuato. We offer a safe refuge in an exquisite walled garden setting in which to relax and enjoy the creative energy of Guanajuato and it's surrounding communities.  We are located on a hillside above the city, ten minutes walking to the city center, restaurants, museums, Spanish schools, and more.  There is regular bus transportation into town and back and easy taxi or Uber accessibility as well.

Each casita is furnished with original art, modern and fully equipped kitchens and baths, individual internet routers, gas fireplaces or heaters, comfortable beds with memory foam toppers, cotton sheets and down duvets, outdoor sitting areas, and privacy.   We have three casitas without stairs.


Main House
A contemporary, art filled city house on one level, with fabulous views overlooking the city of Guanajuato.

Located in a large, private, secure garden (with a 24 hour surveillance system), this 2 bedroom, 3 bath, 2500 square foot home, a delightful view of the front garden, and a full bath.  

The gourmet kitchen is fabulous!  There are two sinks, a disposal and dishwasher, with stainless appliances set into Portuguese granite countertops, and lots of recessed lighting to make cooking delightful.  The stove top is a six-burner gas and a convection/conventional oven, the refrigerator is a French door type with the freezer on the bottom. 

Bedrooms are large and good cross ventilation.  Bathrooms have granite countertops.

There are many outdoor patios on the property with terrific views of Guanajuato and the surrounding hills.  The roof terrace is fantastic for an evening drink to watch a scarlet sunset!  There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer and outdoor hanging area/racks, street parking or secure locked parking.  Outdoor lighting controlled by photocell, and it is an easy walk into the center of town, with a bus returning every 15 minutes to us.

The Girasol apartment is closest to the entry and has a sitting area with a lovely view of the main garden and lemon trees. This apartment is roomy and comfortable and has mostly contemporary Mexican artwork on display.

The Jazmin apartment is located closest to the roof terrace and also has an outdoor patio of its own. It is sunny during the day. At night you have the option of turning on a lighted a wall sculpture showing Zapata and Pancho Villa. The kitchen is equipped with the local Mexican pottery of Gorky Gonzalez, famous in Mexico for his talavera work.

The Tulipan apartment has a large kitchen with a full stove and oven, as well as a very comfortable living and dining space. The dining area overlooks the garden. There is a private terrace attached to this casita with city and mountain vews.

​The Magnolia apartment is located furthest from the main courtyard and has it's own private patio under an orchid tree. The artwork is modern and the apartment is very comfortable, sunny and near the citrus garden, herb garden and studio.
